Humanitarian relief
Develop small, clearly defined relief projects for food, winter needs and urgent household support where credible need has been identified.
HSKRC Humanitarian Foundation is being developed as an Australia-based humanitarian initiative. Its initial humanitarian focus is Afghanistan, with a proposed model built around need, transparency, safeguarding and responsible stewardship.
Our proposed mission is to support vulnerable individuals and communities through practical, carefully scoped humanitarian assistance that responds to clearly identified needs.
We aim to combine direct assistance with transparent project design, documented expenditure, appropriate safeguards and public reporting so that humanitarian support can be understood and reviewed.
Develop small, clearly defined relief projects for food, winter needs and urgent household support where credible need has been identified.
Support access to learning through school supplies, learning materials and practical education assistance suited to local circumstances.
Provide targeted assistance for essential household needs using transparent eligibility criteria and documented delivery processes.
Prioritise approaches that help households and communities respond to hardship while avoiding unnecessary dependency.
Design each project with a defined purpose, budget, approval process, evidence requirements and a public summary of delivery and expenditure.
Work only with partners or local contacts that can be appropriately verified and that accept the foundation’s safeguarding and reporting expectations.
People receiving assistance are not marketing material. Images, stories and personal information should be used only when appropriate and with meaningful consent.
Assistance should be based on documented need and transparent criteria rather than personal influence, affiliation or favouritism.
Projects should consider foreseeable safety, privacy, safeguarding and security risks before delivery begins.
Humanitarian funds should be kept separate from unrelated HSKRC research activities and supported by clear records and approvals.
Project claims should be supported by appropriate records such as budgets, receipts, delivery documentation and completion summaries.
Projects and policies should be reviewed as the initiative develops, with stronger controls introduced as scale and risk increase.
This page describes the proposed mission and operating model. It does not state that legal registration, charity endorsement, tax-deductible status, banking arrangements, fundraising authority or board appointments have been completed.
