A humanitarian initiative built around dignity and accountability.
HSKRC Humanitarian Foundation is being developed in Australia as a distinct humanitarian initiative focused initially on vulnerable communities in Afghanistan. It is connected by name and values to HSKRC, while maintaining separate humanitarian governance, finances and reporting.
Independent humanitarian purpose.
The Foundation is intended to support carefully scoped relief, education and essential-needs projects using documented need, defined budgets, safeguards and public reporting.
It is being designed so that humanitarian funds, decisions and project records remain separate from unrelated HSKRC research activity.
Four commitments from the beginning.
Needs-based
Assistance should follow documented need and transparent eligibility criteria.
Safeguarded
Privacy, dignity, child protection and foreseeable safety risks must be considered before delivery.
Financially controlled
Project budgets, approvals, evidence and reconciliations should be documented and reviewable.
Publicly accountable
Projects should publish privacy-safe summaries of purpose, status, verified finances and outcomes.
