Child Protection Policy.
Children involved in or affected by Foundation activities must be treated with dignity, care and heightened protection from harm, exploitation, abuse and unnecessary exposure.
Best interestsProject decisions involving children should prioritise their safety, dignity and welfare.
Safe conductStaff, volunteers and partners must not engage in abusive, exploitative, sexualised, humiliating or coercive conduct toward children.
Images & storiesUse child images or stories only when appropriate, with meaningful consent and without exposing identity, location or vulnerability unnecessarily.
Recruitment & partnersRoles involving contact with children require proportionate screening, supervision and partner expectations.
ReportingConcerns should be reported promptly through the safeguarding channel and escalated where required by law or protection needs.
Status: draft pre-launch policy. It must be formally adopted and adapted to actual program locations, legal obligations and safeguarding risks before implementation.
